The Global Ecosystem Monitoring Network was founded in November 2013. It was set up in response to a growing international need to a common, openly available platform for ecosystem level data and information sharing.
The aims of the Global Ecosystem Monitoring Network are:
To provide a free and open online platform for the collection, viewing and analysis of environmental data.
To provide free online training for ecosystem level monitoring.
To promote the collection of ecosystem level data.
Provide a platform that can be used for education about our global ecosystems
